AFRICAN LEADERSHIP ACADEMYJOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICAThis Regional Institute is aimed at connecting secondary school counselors within the Sub-Saharan Africa Region with university admission advising tools and networks of universities around the world. It is also intended for universities around the world who want to build connections and deepen their understanding of students in the Sub-Saharan Africa market. Through in-depth and focused conversations and presentations, participants will gain a greater understanding of the educational process, admission requirements, fees and scholarships, and the challenges and opportunities students face when applying to a university outside of Sub-Saharan Africa. The Project Manager for the 2019 Sub-Saharan Africa Regional Institute is Joyce Agyare, and the Faculty Chairs are Ashley Pallie of Pomona College and Laura Kaub of Nova Pioneer Schools. The 2019 Sub-Saharan Africa Regional Institute will take place after the CIS Africa Tour and Fairs, and this is an excellent opportunity to do both. The CIS Full Africa Tour, which includes West and East Africa options, travels from Accra to Kigali and runs from September 23 to October 5. and the CIS Southern Africa Fairs will be held in Mauritius (October 7), Lusaka (October 9), and Gaborone (October 10). These are excellent student recruitment opportunities to include. Read more about these opportunities HERE.
