This Regional Institute is aimed at connecting secondary school counselors within the East Asia, South and Central Asia, and Oceania Region with university admission advising tools and networks of universities around the world. It is also intended for universities around the world who want to build connections and deepen their understanding of students in the East Asia, South and Central Asia, and Oceania markets.


Through in-depth and focused conversations and presentations, participants will gain a greater understanding of the educational process, admission requirements, fees and scholarships, and the challenges and opportunities students face when applying to a university outside of East Asia, South and Central Asia, and Oceania.

WHY ATTEND the International ACAC
East Asia, Southeast Asia, & Oceania Regional Institute?
 

The Regional Institute will allow for two days of concentrated networking, educational sessions, and conversations that are specific to East Asia, South and Central Asia, and Oceania students.
Representatives from universities and high schools, including admissions officers, principals, counselors, and teachers are encouraged to attend. All levels of experience are welcome. International ACAC membership is required.

Cost

Regional Institute fees will be $210 for Secondary School and Individual Members and $235 for College/University Members and Organizational Members.

The Institute offers scholarship opportunities for secondary school and independent counselors who could not otherwise afford to attend.

Room blocks have been negotiated at nearby internationally recognized hotels. On-campus housing is also available. 

1. Marriott Shinhwa World:  

  • Please refer to the RATE SHEET for KIS Negotiated Rates based on room type.
  • Booking is available at MARRIOTT.COMusing Group Code: L18.
  • MARRIOTT BONVOY MEMBERS: Please note. The KIS rate is non-commissionable, which would preclude points/nights earning and elite benefits. The hotel has indicated they will honor point/night accumulation and Bonvoy benefits, but you may need to speak to the hotel to ensure.
  • You may be able to utilize a government or corporate code from your institution that could result in lower rates.
  • Cancelation available until 7 days prior to check-in, local time.

2. Shinhwa World Landing/Shinhwa/Somerset:

  • Please refer to the RATE SHEET for KIS Negotiated Rates based on room type.

  • Breakfast available for an additional $33 USD/day.
  • Cancelation available until 7 days prior to check-in, local time.

3. Jeju Aerospace Hotel:

  • Breakfast is available for an additional $13 USD/day, which you may add by indicating on the booking form.
  • Complete THIS FORM and email it to: [email protected]. They will reply with your confirmation information when your reservation is confirmed.
  • Cancelation available until 5 Days prior to arrival, local time. If room is cancelled sooner than 5 days prior to arrival, you will be charged 100% of the booking.

4. On-Campus Housing: We are finalizing the details of on-campus housing. You will be given an opportunity to indicate your interest below, and we will be in touch with details. Your indication of interest is non-binding, so you are welcome to make alternate arrangements once we provide final pricing.
