International ACAC Mission Statement

To facilitate global interaction among counselors and institutions in support of secondary students transitioning to higher education, while promoting professional standards that foster ethical and social responsibility.

Guiding Principles

We, International ACAC, undertake to be open and accountable with all policies, procedures, decisions and actions. The Board, committees, subcommittees, and workgroups will:

  • Be in alignment with the organization’s mission, ethical statement (NACAC's Guide to Ethical Practice in College Admission), and in support of its integrity;
  • Be student-centered, fostering opportunities to be successful in navigating their journey to higher education;
  • Be responsive to the membership and those who share in the organization’s mission;
  • Be inclusive and mindful of its constituents’ international voice; and
  • Be conducted in a spirit of collaborative knowledge-sharing.

Statement on Diversity

International ACAC values diversity and inclusion. We endeavor to fully pursue that goal by engaging any professional who is ethically contributing to the process of supporting students as they move from secondary schooling to higher education.  We welcome all persons regardless of age, gender, sex, race, color, nationality, ethnicity, culture, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, or disability or handicap.  We hope to engage professionals who represent an array of thoughts, backgrounds, and experiences.
